FOX Chicago News covers B-Ray Day fundraiser for Billy Rehfeld at SXU on Sept. 1

FOX Chicago News reporter Patrick Elwood interviews Billy Rehfeld, a Saint Rita High School senior, upon his first visit back to school after a serious car accident that claimed his lower left leg and seriously injured his entire body. The segment aired on Sept. 1, the same day as the "Blessings for Billy" benefit at Gilhooley's Grande Saloon. A website for donations for the Rehfeld family is available here.

Billy is the second oldest of four sons of Peggy (Margaret) Rehfeld from Saint Xavier University's Office of Records & Advising. Billy is making progress, but his biggest hurdles are pain management, the demands of the initial stages of physical therapy, controlling blood clot formations and maintaining faith and focus. All of your well wishes and prayers have strengthened the Rehfeld family during this difficult time.

Sept. 1 was officially designated "B-Ray" T-Shirt Day by SXU President Christine Wiseman to show SXU's support of Billy and the entire Rehfeld family as he fights to move forward toward recovery.
