Chicago (May 8, 2012) Saint Xavier University will host its 16th Annual Summer Concert and Fireworks on Sun., June 24. The New Odyssey Band, offering a unique entertainment experience, will perform from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. on the front steps of the Warde Academic Center at the University's Chicago campus, 3700 W. 103rd St. The concert will conclude with a patriotic finale and fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. (dusk). The event is free and open to the public.The community is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the show. Concessions will be available from The Original Rainbow Cone, Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon, Calabria Imports, Happy Jack’s, and the SXU Alumni Association. Attendees also may bring their own refreshments.
