Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce to honor its Chairman, SXU’s Maureen Kelly, at annual dinner

Event is Feb. 4 at Chicago Gaelic Park in Oak Forest

Chicago (Jan. 15, 2010) The Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce will honor its Chairman of the Board, Saint Xavier University’s Maureen Kelly, at its annual dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Chicago Gaelic Park in Oak Forest, 6119 W. 147th St.

Kelly has served as Saint Xavier’s Executive Director of Community & Government Relations since May 2004. She served as a Special Assistant to U.S. Senator Dick Durbin from 1997 to 2004, during which time she first became involved with the Southland Chamber.

Shortly after her arrival at Saint Xavier, Kelly was invited to fill a Board vacancy by then-Chairman Jim Bush. She soon became involved in the Government Affairs and Political Action Committee, and served as Vice Chair of the Chamber’s Government Affairs committee from 2007 to 2009. In that position, Maureen organized the Chamber’s annual Springfield and Washington, D.C trips and spearheaded the Chamber’s legislative agenda.

Kelly also serves on the Women’s Leader Council for Mercy Home for Boys & Girls; member of the City Club of Chicago; Chicago Women in Government Relations; Chicago Area Public Affairs Group; Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago; Beverly Area Planning Association; and the Chicagoland, Evergreen Park, Oak Lawn and Orland Park Chambers of Commerce.

I think what yоu ѕаіd made a lot of sense.
Howeνег, cοnsider thiѕ, suppose you comροsed a catchier post
title? I ain't suggesting your information isn't solіԁ.

, however supрose you aԁded a headline
tο mаybе gеt peоple's attention? I mean "Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce to honor its Chairman, SXU'ѕ Μaureen Kelly, at annual ԁinner" is kinda boring. You might glance at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create news headlines to get people interested. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab people interested about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it might bring your website a little bit more interesting.
