5th annual Saint Xavier University Alumni and Friends WeekendMore than 85 Saint Xavier University friends and alumni got a preseason glimpse of Chicago baseball when they watched the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs slug it out Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, Arizona.
The 5th annual SXU Alumni and Friends Weekend was filled with fun and fellowship as Cubs and Sox fans enjoyed VIP tickets, and entry into the exclusive SXU skybox with great food and beverages throughout the game.
The Cubs beat the White Sox 13-0.
"The SXU Alumni and Friends Weekend in Meza, Arizona, has turned into one of our most exciting annual events," said SXU Vice President for University Advancement Steven J. Murphy, Ed.D. "No matter which team people pulled for, everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. We deeply appreciate the Alumni and friend support shown this weekend."
