Chicago (March 4, 2009) Saint Xavier University invites students and surrounding community members to network with potential employers and recruiters at SXU’s annual job fair from noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31st, in the University’s Shannon Center, 3700 W. 103rd St. Chicago.

The SXU job fair is free and open to students of all majors, as well as to members of the community and students from neighboring community colleges and universities. Employers from several industries will be present, recruiting for open positions within their organizations.

Employers scheduled to attend the job fair include: the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Chicago Heights School District 170, the City of Peoria, Holy Cross Hospital, MacNeal Hospital, Moraine Valley Community College, Northwestern Mutual-The McTigue Finance Group, Palos Community Hospital, Park Forest Academy, Prairie-Hills Elementary School District 144, Resurrection Health Care, South Holland School District 150, St. James Hospital and Health Centers, TCF Bank, the U.S. Secret Service and Wells Fargo Financial.

“Although the SXU Job Fair is planned for SXU students and alumni, we want to extend an invitation to our community members who may be looking for work,” said Mary Fitzpatrick, assistant director of career services. “This is an excellent opportunity to see many recruiters at once. “

Job seekers should bring copies of their résumés and dress professionally.
