Chicago (Oct. 7, 2009) Saint Xavier University invites the community to the “Finding Your Future: Exploring the Possibilities” open house event from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Oct. 25 in the Shannon Center at the Chicago campus, 3700 W. 103rd St.
Attendees can meet with faculty and staff to learn about the University’s comprehensive academic and professional degree programs, explore student organizations and tour the University’s scenic campus. Information about Saint Xavier’s generous scholarship opportunities and other academic financing options also will be available.
Check-in is from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and includes breakfast. President Judith A. Dwyer, Ph.D. will welcome guests and Provost Angela Durante will deliver a brief introduction: "Mapping Your Future Possibilities".
Attendees can then partake in several informational sessions, including:
- Foundations of Excellence: New General Education
- Teaching and Learning: Meet Faculty and Students
- Getting Involved: Speak with Student Organization leaders
- SXU Affordability: Visit with Financial Aid Representatives
- Guided campus tours
