More than 450 attend Saint Xavier University’s annual job fair

Students, community invited to attend

Chicago (April 6, 2009) More than 450 job seekers attended an afternoon of networking with employers and recruiters at Saint Xavier University’s 2009 Annual Job Fair on Tuesday, March 31 in the University’s Shannon Center, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago.



“We were pleased we could provide opportunities for so many people seeking employment, especially during these troubled economic times,” said Mary Fitzpatrick, assistant director of career services. “This was an excellent opportunity to see many recruiters at once.”

The Job Fair was free and open to students and members of the community. Employers from numerous organizations were present, including: the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Chicago Heights School District 170, the City of Peoria, Holy Cross Hospital, MacNeal Hospital, Moraine Valley Community College, Northwestern Mutual-The McTigue Finance Group, Palos Community Hospital, Park Forest Academy, Prairie-Hills Elementary School District 144, Resurrection Health Care, South Holland School District 150, St. James Hospital and Health Centers, TCF Bank, the U.S. Secret Service and Wells Fargo Financial.
