SXU Renaissance Academy to hold global warming forum
Professor and environmentalist Richard S. Treptow, Ph.D., to speak on April 21
Chicago (April 8, 2009) Richard S. Treptow, Ph.D., will speak at the Spring 2009 John T. Farrell, Sr. Forum at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 in McGuire Hall at Saint Xavier University’s Chicago campus, 3700 W. 103rd St.
The forum, which is free and open to the public, is hosted by Saint Xavier’s Renaissance Academy.
Treptow is professor emeritus of chemistry at Chicago State University. He is also an environmentalist and member of the Sierra Club and the Union of Concerned Scientists. His presentation “Global Warming: The Choice is Ours” will focus on the causes, consequences and cures of global warming.
