SXU’s Shannon Center completes Biggest Loser Fitness Challenge
More than 100 participants lost over 400 pounds Chicago
(April 16, 2009) Saint Xavier University’s Shannon Center recently completed its 10-week Biggest Loser Fitness Challenge with more than 100 participants losing over 400 pounds.
Rob Parisella, of Burbank, won first place after dropping 46 pounds. Saint Xavier student Haley Neale, of Fort Wayne, Ind., took second place by losing 36 pounds. Nick O’Conner, of Chicago, finished third by losing 32 pounds. All three winners received Visa gift cards as prizes.
“We are so proud of all of our participants and hope that everyone sticks with their diet and exercise plans,” said Shannon Center Asst. Facilities Manager Kristy Allen.
The Biggest Loser event is a 10-week fitness challenge designed to help participants lose weight, make healthy lifestyle changes, maintain weight loss and have fun. The program offered informational packets, nutrition tips, lunch-hour walking programs and other health and fitness resources.
